Michael Mazo is Russian by birth, runs a winery in Virginia and just loves Walt Whitman. He has an adorable mother, an enchanting wife and a delightful daughter, writes comic books and remarkably long emails. In 2013, Cordula met the whole family in the USA, but the brand was created in 2009 by telephone and email. This did not prevent Alessandri Design & Brand Studio from finding a shared source of inspiration with the client: on the wine labels, Whitmanian poetry snuggles up against the gorgeous landscape of Virginia’s vineyards. The coloured capsules on the necks of the bottles provide a fun, tasty contrast.
