How does a new district come about? What gives a neighbourhood its character? Alexander Doepel and Cordula Alessandri published a book dedicated to the art of responsible urban planning, presenting visions of a new quarter centred around Vienna’s new Hauptbahnhof main station. These were grouped according to major and minor points of interest, history, grand style, people on the move, people putting down roots and places to work around the new station.
