Hannes’ idea was a new vineyard and a new wine representing the city of Graz. And because the idea is everything – and we needed one of our own – we dug deep and found our source of inspiration in the endangered Southern festoon moth (Falter being the German word for moth), which loves vineyard landscapes rich in one particular plant that the caterpillars just love to feast on.
To carry forth Hannes Sabathi’s DNA into the design, we took our cue from the “S” root. And because we wanted to find out what form his Falter Ego might take in the vineyards, we cocooned for ten days, weaving ideas round the clock. And there you have it: two beautiful moths emerged.
