On its creative path toward natural wines, Weingut Doktor Wunderer has made a name for itself with its uncompromising, eminently cellerable wines with a bold personality — Grüner Veltliner for connoisseurs, you could say.
Alessandri Design lent a hand, doing a spot of “Zerschnippseln” or snipping, an almost forgotten technique when it comes to natural wines. “Scalpel, please” was what went through our mind, as trimming isn’t just good for the body of a wine or the vine itself, but the label, too. And the partnership outstripped expectations: in sessions lasting hours, every single label was cut into strips before being pieced back together, turning every last wine bottle into a sought-after, one-of-a-kind creation.
